Last month, we packed our bags for a fabulous few days in Savannah, Georgia with Hotel Bardo and Tara Skinner Events. Take a closer look at the amazing details of our stay!
Blue’s our favorite color here at Susan Shaw, but for our recent trip to Hotel Bardo, we embraced Savannah green with open arms. Under the shade of Bardo’s breezy covered courtyard, we had the pleasure of connecting with talented creatives in the events space from across the country. Each connection was gifted a monogrammed Susan Shaw travel pouch, with one of our beloved Toggle Necklaces tucked inside.
That evening, a grand welcome to Savannah was hosted at Bardo’s glamorous pool deck. Tara Skinner and her team curated every detail, transforming the already fabulous area into a Palm Beach-inspired urban oasis. Poolside cocktails, synchronized swimmers, and bursting florals by Petal Productions completed the scene. We were pleased to gift attendees some of our favorite bridal-inspired styles in a spin-to-win experience just steps from the water’s edge.
The next morning, our team enjoyed some time exploring Savannah’s cobbled streets, dotted with charming shops and lined with trees draped in moss. We had the opportunity to visit Emily McCarthy’s Savannah headquarters and storefront, where some of our favorite Susan Shaw pieces are available. Then, we refueled with a delicious brunch at Collins Quarter before exploring some of SCAD’s historic, thoughtfully renovated buildings.
That evening, we were treated to a grand night of celebration back at Hotel Bardo. Dinner, dancing, and cocktails were enjoyed in the Carriage House, complete with a dancefloor adorned with an illustrated map of Savannah. The dance floor was framed by a plate wall featuring collectible china — including some of the pieces that inspired our China Cabinet Collection! Next, we were paraded to Club Bardo by a line of horns, where a DJ, custom hat bar, and late-night bites awaited us.
Our short trip fueled us with inspiration and exciting new connections. We can’t wait to see where we will head next!
